Law and Governance

The Lozaphuhü Village Council (LVC) is the apex body which oversee the administration of the Village. The members are elected (under Nagaland Village Council and Area Act 1978) by the people for 5 years on the basis of one family one vote. Administration is largely based on the traditional Customary Laws and Usages (recognized under Article 371(A) of Indian Constitution) which act as the source of all laws and governance in the village. The Lozaphuhü Students’ Union (LSU) and the Lozaphuhü Youth Organization (LYO) are the other two organization in the village.
